If you are not yet registered for Epic classroom training, please be sure to sign-up as soon as possible! Course scheduling is first-come, first-served. You will be able to register your Epic courses through the Training Information section of this Provider Portal.
What's Epic?


The move to Epic is an important milestone in our road to the future to become an integrated system of care, and is one of several strategic initiatives to enhance patient care, innovation, and healthcare excellence at NCH. Epic is a top-ranked and popular medical record vendor, with over 300 clients and numerous awards. Going live with Epic’s suite of applications will provide NCH with:

  • An integrated medical record accessible to all members of the care team, with information from all inpatient and outpatient encounters
  • Orders, notes, and results in a central location for order management, results review, note creation
  • Remote access to complete patient records to make it easier for physicians to manage their patients when outside the hospital
  • Mobile access to key parts of the chart from your phone or tablet when a desktop computer is not available
  • MyChart, a patient portal that enables patients to access their results, elements of their chart, schedules, and communicate with their physicians
  • Physician dashboards and reporting to understand relevant information related to patients and patient care
